Higher dimensional analogue of Hochschild (co)homoogy

Abstract: We will present a generalization of Hochschild (co)homology for commutative algebras which is a bifunctor from the categories of spaces (up to homotopy) and commutative algebras with value in the latter category. In the case where the space is the circle, this theory recovers the usual Hochschild homology and the functoriality encodes its cyclic structure. We will also give some applications of these ideas.
