Quantum Schur dualities

Abstract: The Schur duality between a general linear Lie algebra and a symmetric group is well known. A quantum Schur duality between a quantum group (or a q-Schur algebra) and a Hecke algebra of type A was developed from algebraic and geometric viewpoints by Jimbo, Dipper-James, and Beilinson-Lusztig-MacPherson. In this talk, we will review these constructions, present a further generalization to other types and its geometric realization.
