On Viana's Conjecture
Speaker: Nawaf Alansari, Penn State
Abstract: Viana conjectured that a system with non-zero Lyapunov exponents should have an SRB measure. In this talk, we explain a closely related conjecture and try to indicate how it can be approached. We will introduce along the way the concept of effective hyperbolicity, the idea of standard pairs which are new developments in the field.
