Abstract: In order the overcome the transevrsality problems in the symplectic filed theory one needs new smooth spaces called polyfolds. A Polyfold is a generalization of a notion of Banach manifold allowing for locally varying dimensions. In this language the compactified moduli spaces of the symplectic filed theory can be described as the zero set of the Fredholm section of polyfold bundle.
