Minimal sets for partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms

Abstract: In this talk we shall discuss the proof of the existence of infinitely many different minimal sets for partially hyperbolic dynamics. This proof is based on an old technique by Ma\~n\'e (the construction of snowflakes) written in the case of a one-dimensional expanding foliation. There is also a related result by Kleinbock and Margulis (originated on ideas of Margulis and Dani) that we shall discuss if times permits. We plan also to mention related problems.
